STAGE American Vaudeville Club is the newest venture of Boston nightlife entrepreneurs Russ De Mariano, Ed Brooks and SJ Torres (The Brahmin American Cuisine & Cocktails; Howl at the Moon and Down Ultra Lounge). Transporting its royal guests to the American vaudeville era of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, STAGE captures the vibrancy and showmanship of these epoch entertainers while offering an upscale, sexy and plush nightlife experience unlike any other. The revelry begins as patrons are ushered into the ultrachic nightclub through a secret entrance disguised as a bookshelf. Guided by velvet ropes, guests are warmly greeted by Executive Hosts cloaked in dapper suits and top hats to a reserved table or a velvet-lined booth where an era-attired waitress promptly presents the menu of classic craft cocktails. Bathed in dazzling lights and backed by pulse-pounding music, the nightclub features a revolving line-up of circus performers, flapper dancers, aerialists, jugglers, and theatrical acts performing on dueling stages with ultimate precision and flair. With mixologists exhibiting flash and skill with their expertise, four bars and a Main Stage VIP Lounge, STAGE American Vaudeville Club recreates the grandeur of the pre-Prohibition era in its full charm, vivacity and opulence mixed in with a dash of decadence and debauchery.
Located in the Theatre District is this sexy and plush underground nightclub for late-night dancing, as well as VIP and bottle service. The interior of Cure Lounge was designed by well-know interior designer, John Stefanon of JFS Design Studio. The design aesthetics of Cure Lounge were drawn from a strong focus on history and mood. Originally designed to be the ladies lounge and orchestra area to the theater this uniquely beautiful space called for an understated elegance evocative of the period. Finished with a “Victorian Chic” design, the glamorized cues of Cure Lounge are evident from the moment you step in. Bold dramatic statements of shapes and patterns with a subtle, sophisticated color palette, balance and juxtapose each other in Jing-Jang form to bring a unique vibe to this historical Boston gem. Cure Lounge’s mood is enhanced within as you transition from the Main Lounge to the Back Lounge and a more surreal aesthetic introduces what use to be the orchestra pit area. The inspiration of “moths drawn to a flame” called for dim lighting and elements were selected to transport patrons into a warm summer night on the streets of Shanghai – or a far away fantasy location. Both lounges were created to bring an exciting movement within time and fantasy.
