We are a neighborhood restaurant. We may sound like a lively dinner party, look like a French Brasserie and feed you before a Sox game, but at the end we just want you to feel at home no matter which suburb, city or country you may reside. We were inspired to create Eastern Standard at a time when conversation was king and 140 characters was just a starting point. We want you to understand our menus and get to know our staff. There is no room on our tables for pretense and no place in our kitchens for shortcuts. So dive into our dishes and drinks, they all have a great story to tell. Eastern Standard opened nine years ago, in the heart of Kenmore Square. We are passionate about our neighbors, our guests and our city. We encourage our staff to celebrate the culinary arts, city of Boston and its people and the pursuit of education for education’s sake. After 45 Years my customers still tell me what a deligthful discovery it is to step out of a Boston alley into the heart of Mexico. That is exactly what I had envisioned when I decorated the coffered door and walls of my restaurant with bright talavera tiles from Puebla, Mexico.
The Pour House Bar & Grill is a no frills establishment. Well known to Bostonians as an inexpensive watering hole for people who want to get down and have a good time. It specializes in great attitude, great pricing, and great portions. It is the perfect place to hang out with friends in a casual or rambunctious mood and an excellent place for after "the game" dialogue and drinking games. The walls are dark brick blanketed by graffiti and menus. Throughout the bar are video games and a wide array of neon beer signs, giving you perfection in ambiance. For tunes The Pour House has a state of the art computerized sound and video system with 17 Hi Def, Flat Screen TV's making it the best this side of Storrow Drive. When arriving at The Pour House you may want to head for a booth, the bar is very busy with standing room only. The other option is to gravitate downstairs to the second bar where the bar is larger and chances are greater for getting a bar stool. The Pour House menu offers great appetizers, award winning burgers, giant nacho platters, and much more until 1:30 AM every night.
Lir on Boylston Street is a friendly Irish pub in the heart of Boston's Back Bay. We offer an extensive menu for lunch and dinner and can also accomodate large private parties. Stop in for a drink and catch all the international sports action on one of our many HDTV's!
