At the center of every Bertucci’s lives our brick oven. For over 30 years, since our first kitchen opened in the Davis Square neighborhood of Somerville, MA in 1981, we’ve been perfecting the art of brick oven cooking. From the beginning, we’ve built a tradition of creating unique pizzas and pasta combinations. These recipes all share some very important things in common. They use only the freshest ingredients, and we take the time to make each by hand. Today, 86 Bertucci’s restaurants are firing up brick ovens from New England to Virginia, each reflecting the distinct character and local charm of their community. But like the original Bertucci’s, every kitchen is also open, making our brick oven part of the restaurant experience. We believe that watching your food being prepared is an integral part to enjoying it. We are a neighborhood restaurant. We may sound like a lively dinner party, look like a French Brasserie and feed you before a Sox game, but at the end we just want you to feel at home no matter which suburb, city or country you may reside. We were inspired to create Eastern Standard at a time when conversation was king and 140 characters was just a starting point. We want you to understand our menus and get to know our staff. There is no room on our tables for pretense and no place in our kitchens for shortcuts. So dive into our dishes and drinks, they all have a great story to tell. Eastern Standard opened nine years ago, in the heart of Kenmore Square. We are passionate about our neighbors, our guests and our city. Sonsie celebrates eighteen years on Boston’s famous Newbury Street serving top-notch International cuisine from award-winning Chef Bill Poirier. Open seven days a week from 7:00am to 1:00am, Sonsie boasts beautiful French doors that translate to an open sidewalk cafe in season, as well as a European lounge with deep leather chairs and sofas. The mahogany bar serves the best martinis in town from an experienced lot of friendly bartenders and the brick-oven churns out eclectic pizzas and focaccia throughout the day. It is easy to relax at Sonsie and enjoy the classic music that reflects the ambience of the restaurant as day progresses into night. Chef Poirier’s menu always introduces fresh flavors and brilliant food combinations. Signature dishes dot the menu as well as seasonal dishes splashed with nightly specials. New to Sonsie is the downstairs Wine Room. An elegant old world feel blended with modern design featuring a walk-in temperature controlled glass wine cellar. With over two hundred wines offered and a unique opportunity to try most by the glass. The wine room is open six nights a week and may be reserved for private dining.
