Formed in 2016, Ghost Train is a band that has helped to define the landscape of today’s Rock and Blues music scene in the New England area. Stylistically eclectic songs deeply embedded in rock with blues elements suggest an influence from Ritchie Blackmore to Joe Bonamassa and various rock/blues greats, while also keeping the audience wondering what will be coming next.
Individually, members of Ghost Train have opened for and toured with national, as well as international acts.
The initial collaboration of these five very talented individuals quickly resulted in their 2016 debut recording "Willing To Sacrifice". A follow-up release is currently in the works.
Past accomplishments include:
Winner of the 2013 Boston Blues Society's Blues Challenge and Semi-finalists at The International Blues Challenge in Memphis.
Winner of the 2010 Boston Blues Society's Best Self-produced CD
The musical direction of the band is very high energy heavy rock and blues, and includes covers as well as originals. Covers include ZZ Top, Deep Purple, Gary Moore, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Thin Lizzy, Joe Bonamassa, Santana, and similar.
