In 2017, over 200 DNA volunteers, along with the Providence Parks Department, helped to transform over a mile of our Riverwalk (from the Hurricane Barrier to the gondola docks in Waterplace Park) by replacing all of the broken/missing cables, and by sanding and painting over 400 railing pillars, light poles, and benches. The transformation has been incredible and to date, we have saved the City of Providence an estimated $200,000 in labor costs!

Our next Riverwalk project is on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 from 5:30-8:00pm. We will once again team up with our friends at the Providence Parks Dept. to remove stickers, paint railings, benches, and lamp posts and pick-up trash along our waterways. We will start at the gondola docks in front of Cafe Nuovo, where we ended last Fall.
