Trattoria Romana South was opened by award winning Chef Luciano Canova to offer residents and visitors of southern Rhode Island with the authentic Italian cuisine that the Trattoria Romana name has become synonymous with after the success of the Trattoria Romana restaurant in Lincoln. The team selected the location in South County Commons in Wakefield to offer convenient access to all of Southern RI. This restaurant now has a loyal following of its own, offering traditional Roman recipes passed down from Chef Luciano's family, as well as inventive Northern and Southern Italian preparations inspired by Chef Luciano's culinary education and travels.

Today, our Italian restaurant in Wakefield RI offers a lively bar scene, where regulars and guests can enjoy cocktails, liquor, beer, and wine from our extensive drink menu while also enjoying our full food selection.
