  • Muse Paintbar - Providence Providence

    .0m away

Muse combines painting instruction with a restaurant & bar. We host painting sessions each week (see our events calendar) that are open to the public and anybody can attend. See more information about our regular sessions. We can also work with you to set up private parties for birthdays, bachelorette parties, work events, fundraisers, kids’ parties or any other occasion. Give us a call or email if you want to schedule a private party. Muse is managed by Stan Finch (President & Co-Founder) and Vanessa Leigh, the Lead Artist. We also have several other fantastic local artists that will help you find your inspiration in any of our locations. Muse works hard to support the local economy and community, part of what we call conscious capitalism. John Mackey, the CEO of Whole Foods, does a great job articulating this concept in his essay. We donate 5% of our profits to local causes, and we work with many of you on fundraisers. If you have fundraising or charity ideas for us, please call us or email us at Hello@MusePaintbar.com. We’d love to hear from you.

  • Mill's Tavern Providence

    .0m away

Casually elegant. A place that is both upscale and friendly. That’s Mill’s Tavern in downtown Providence. For years, this Rhode Island favorite has provided guests with an exceptional dining experience. Whether for a romantic evening, special celebration or business dinner, Mill’s Tavern offers that perfect match: fine dining in a unique urban setting at the foot of historic College Hill. Chef Edward Bolus delivers an impressive menu that combines local and seasonal ingredients in innovative and exciting new ways. The fruits and vegetables are harvested from area farms. The chops and steaks are cut daily and the seafood is always fresh. Chef Bolus’ knowledge and skills coupled with a passion for improvisation guarantees a dining experience that is noteworthy.

  • New Rivers Providence

    .0m away

New Rivers was founded in 1990 and is housed in the former Congdon and Carpenter Mill along the river on the edge of downtown Providence. Named after the river rerouting project that jumpstarted Providence’s renaissance, New Rivers has been and continues to be a forerunner in locally sourced and thoughtfully prepared food as well as its much lauded friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive service. Owners Beau and Elizabeth Vestal met while working together at the restaurant. After 12 years (him) and 3 years (her) of leading the kitchen, the couple purchased the restaurant in 2012. Beau remains at the stoves, continuing to delight customers with his creative bistro fare. Elizabeth has moved out front and assumed the role of the restaurant’s general manager and gracious host. New Rivers continues to delight customers with its straight forward cuisine, thoughtfully curated wine and beer list, and charming ambience. It has been several years now since the restaurant underwent an expansion and facelift. This expansion provided not only more seating, a handsome new bar, and a private dining space on the second floor, but also an opportunity to celebrate another love: historical preservation. In the new space diners will see a bar crafted in part from timber reclaimed from the building, crafted into new details that celebrate the building’s long and rich history. Original wide plank wood floors were uncovered, refurbished, and provide guests a glimpse into the past when iron fabricating machines bustled during Providence’s golden age of the industrial revolution. The facade of the building has also been painstakingly designed to mimic the original storefronts of almost a century ago. It is these details that make New Rivers quintessentially Providence.

  • Cafe Nuovo Providence

    .1m away

Casually elegant Café Nuovo, at the Gondola Landing on Providence's famed Riverwalk, has been unabashedly singled out by the Providence Journal as Rhode Island's contribution to "world-class" dining. It has been said that the only thing more spectacular than the panoramic view from this "chic outpost" is the architectural splendor of our dazzling dinners and desserts, a heavenly fusion of American regional, European, Asian and Island cuisines. Through glass curtain walls or while dining alfresco on the outdoor piazza, patrons enjoy commanding views of the new Providence skyline while the river and gondolas roll by their romantic Café Nuovo perch. Fresh, innovative, and with attention to every detail, eclectic Café Nuovo reinvents itself with each new culinary creation. So, expect the unexpected... salads arranged as centerpieces, entrees making grand entrances, desserts that dazzle... to keep you coming back, again and again.
