From our early years as a popular Newport nightclub, to hosting the cast and crew of Hollywood films like Amistad and Wind, Yesterdays has been a tradition for both locals and visitors since 1974.

It was Dan’s brother Russ who always had the lifelong dream to own a restaurant. On a trip to Mexico he developed a love of authentic Mexican cuisine, and realized there wasn’t much of it at all in Rhode Island. Harnessing Dan’s and Andi’s talents, Russ found the Perro Salado concept a home and helped it bloom. Now, he leverages his extensive business experience to manage the restaurant’s future – sure to be as bold and bright as the flavors coming from the kitchen. Fresh, friendly, affordable, exciting – Perro Salado vibrates with a refreshing energy on every level, and is as unique and satisfying as a restaurant can be.
